Kelly has been dancing since she was 8 which is a late start for most dancers, but it didn't take long to figure out dance was her true passion.  She studied for her Bachelor of Performing Arts degree at Oakland University where she specialized in dance.  Included in her training have been courses in creative movement for children, Pedagogy and Kinesiology as well as other dance histories and dance styles.

While at Oakland University, she performed with the Oakland Dance Theater and the Oakland University Repertory Dance Company traveling and dancing in many shows and concerts.

Before attending college, Kelly danced and performed competitively for eight years under the direction and guidance of Rebecca Crimmins.  During those years she was selected to perform at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival as well as dancing in many parades, benefits and festivals. She had the opportunity to be a part of Center Dance Ensemble based at the EDE Center for Dance and has performed in productions with Michigan's Premier Contemporary Dance Company, the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble directed by Laurie Eisenhower.

In 2000, Kelly was one of several dancers selected to dance for Boys II Men on a nationally televised half time show for the Detroit Lions. She has studied and taken workshops taught by numerous choreographers from across the United States including Bruce Bradley, Savion Glover, Jeanie Hill (Chicago Jump Rhythm Jazz Project), Fred Kelly, Giselle Mason, Lai Chou Ping, and Robert Reed.

Kelly takes every opportunity to attend Tap Festivals, Conventions and the American College Dance Festivals Association events in New York. Kelly has choreographed and performed for community theaters and high schools across Michigan. Her credits include Chorus Line, Oliver, Bugsy Malone, School House Rocks Live Jr., Fame and West Side Story.

Kelly has been presented with numerous awards for her choreography as Bravo Dance Centers Performing Company Choreographer.  Under her Direction, some of BDC's  awards include most entertaining acts and numerous high score awards.  BDC was voted studio with the most energy and Kelly was also voted top teacher in 2003, 2004, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

She has been teaching all styles of Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Ballet, Musical Theater and Hip Hop since 1999. Teaching dance is truly Kelly's passion.

She is very excited that her long-time dream to one day own her own studio came true in June of 2005 when she became the new owner and artistic director of Bravo Dance Center!
