She had the opportunity to be a part of Center Dance Ensemble based at the EDE Center for Dance and has performed in productions with Michigan's Premier Contemporary Dance Company, the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble directed by Laurie Eisenhower.
In 2000, Kelly was one of several dancers selected to dance for Boys II Men on a nationally televised half time show for the Detroit Lions.
She has studied and taken workshops taught by numerous choreographers from across the United States including Bruce Bradley, Savion Glover, Jeanie Hill (Chicago Jump Rhythm Jazz Project), Fred Kelly, Giselle Mason, Lai Chou Ping, and Robert Reed. Kelly takes every opportunity to attend Tap Festivals, Conventions and the American College Dance Festivals Association events in New York.
She has choreographed and performed for community theaters and high schools across Michigan. Her credits include Chorus Line, Oliver, Bugsy Malone, School House Rocks Live Jr., Fame and West Side Story.

What Inspired You to Become a Dance Teacher?
When I was little I used to put together dance shows for all the parents
in our neighborhood and I used to have a notebook full of dances or moves
that I would make up. I've known since then at the age of 8 that my life
would be teaching and choreographing dance.
